What is Abandoned Wings?
I’ve been building model airplanes for as long as I can remember. Aviation has always fascinated me, and over the years, what started as a simple hobby quickly became a full-blown passion. Like many model builders, I began collecting kits: some to build, some just to admire. At some point, I found myself picking up extra kits at estate sales and from folks looking to downsize their collections. At first, it was just a way to snag a few rare finds for my own stash… but it didn’t take long for something bigger to take off.
That’s how Abandoned Wings Hobby came to life.
Now, I love finding forgotten, unfinished, or simply unbuilt kits and giving them another chance to take flight. I sell them online and at model shows, hoping they’ll land in the hands of someone who’ll bring them to life the way they were meant to be.
Every kit has a story, and I love the idea of helping them find new homes where they can finally be built, displayed, and appreciated. Whether you’re a seasoned modeler or just starting out, I hope you find something here that inspires your next build.

Our kits are pre-owned from a variety of sources. We try to examine each one to make sure that all of the kits are complete before we sell. Be sure to read the description on each kit before purchasing.
